It is a great pleasure to share my art works with you through this post, hoping you enjoy these watercolor paints and meet some birds and fish from Chilean territory

Thanks to watercolor I have been able to better refine my observation skills, particularly for those natives species of Chile. It has been very interesting to challenge myself trying to represent them by the most similar and illustrative way as possible, highlighting its qualities and the intrinsic beutty of each been that inhabit this so diverse territory

I have been an Ecotourism Manager and Guide by profession since 2010, but drawing and watercolor  have accompanied me almost all my life. My works are the result in first instance, of a search process -mainly on the web- of the animals I am interested in representing. It takes a lot of time on observing the picture I decide to paint. This decision is based on the beauty of the image, but mainly because I´m able to imagine (or decipher) the process or the steps that I will need to follow in order to achieve a result that assimilate the photography as much as possible. Observing and observing is the key on this first and long stage. Once I draw the figure in graphite; representing and locating the shapes, shadows and lights, I proceed to the magical moment of giving it color. Layer by layer, from the lightest to the darkest shades.
